Dear Parents and Guardians,
The Archdiocese of Los Angeles is committed to compliance with the U.S. Bishops’ Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People. Article 12 of the Charter mandates that, “each diocese establish and maintain a Safe Environment Program for children and youth.” In light of this, the – VIRTUS Teaching Touching Safety Program for Children – was adopted by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles in September, 2006. This program will be implemented beginning January 2007 in parish Religious Education programs.
The youth in St. Anthony’s Confirmation Program will participate in these lessons.
To provide an opportunity for parents and guardians to review the program, the materials will be available during the Orientation Meeting. We strongly encourage parents/guardians to attend so you will receive the information about this improtant safety program.

If you are in ministry working with minors and your certification was 2005 or prior to this date, YOU’ll need to attend this hour and half session.
